Hi

I have installed an OpenVPN (v2) server on Windows Server 2003, to support a
number of 'roadwarriors' mostly using Windows XP.

I am using the 'routed' mode so thats Tun adaptors.

The question I have is do I need to create multiple TUN adaptors on the
server to support multiple simultanious connections?

Cheers for a great project

one server installation with one tun adapter can - in theory - handle up
to a 1000 connections. So there's no need to install N tun adapters for
N clients :)

you can acchieve that if you use TLS mode. If you're using
static-keys, then you would need 1 config/tunnel per client. Using TLS
you can have plenty of roadwarrior users using a single OpenVPN
instance/configuration/TUN interface.

To be honest, I don't have that many clients (5 at most) and I have assigned
a full class-c to the clients (192.168.1.X) so there should be plenty
Hi,
Nope, just make sure your ip-address space is large enough. If you used the
default 10.x.x.x range then that is covered.
